Partner Financial are working with a dynamic, diverse and highly acquisitive multinational technology business, who are looking for an Interim Group Finance Analyst for a 3-6-month initial contract. The role is crucial within Group Finance, supporting worldwide technical accounting, and they need an active and intelligent communicator to liaise with all levels of Finance, including the Finance teams of any acquired companies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing an exemplary technical accounting advice on areas of complexity and new business activities, identifying accounting risks and commercial opportunities.
- Maintain and update accounting policies to ensure full compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Assist with any external audit needs, ensuring the audit is completed on time and with zero differences.
- Facilitate meaningful internal discussions on key areas of financial judgement and support the Group Technical Accounting Lead and Group Financial Controller to reach sound business conclusions.
- Partner with the business to assess the impact from accounting standard and strategic changes and provide accounting support on multifaceted business transactions.
- Provide leadership, support and training on emerging accounting standards to team-members, including developing innovative training materials.
- Ad-hoc projects for the Group CFO and other group function leads.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- Previous experience in a Technical / Group Accounting role within industry, as well as proven experience of implementing new reporting standards and/or best practices this area.
- Experience of working in a large and fast-growing multinational company.
- Happy to work autonomously or as an integral team member, dealing with ambiguity and ad-hoc projects flexibly.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, especially at senior level. Able to engage with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
