The Consultancy Group are currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner for a FSE 250 Business based in Central London. The role will be partnering senior leaders in the business as well as members of the executive team ensuring they are receiving financial support in all of their business decisions and future financial outlook. This is a forward thinking, fast paced business area operating within a flexible working environment.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyse and report the impact of changes to the three largest existing external contracts and provide management recommendations on best possible outcomes
  • Work closely with the contract management team on financing and refinancing activities on existing contracts
  • Financial assessment of business activities and projects specific to programmes/functions
  • Support and input towards the publication of Charging Statements, Indicative Charging Statements and indicative budgets.
  • Work with senior management team in preparation and review of business cases, providing detailed feedback on submission, continuously work towards improving the process
  • Provide appropriate level of challenge to senior leaders on cost proposals
  • Budgeting and quarterly forecasting of costs and timing of cash outflows
  • Manage and report on key risks, issues and opportunities affecting programmes and functions that the role supports
  • Work closely with the contract management team on potential financing options for large items of spend
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management reports
  • Manage the delivery of accurate month-end/year-end management reporting for functions which this role supports
  • Identify and drive improvements/efficiencies in existing processes
  • Other ad hoc assignments as necessary

Experience

Essential:

  • CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Ability to provide clear analysis of performance drivers
  • Demonstrates initiative and takes responsibility for commercial issues, seeing them through to completion
  • Track record of implementing change to improve financial processes
  • Experience of engaging and influencing at executive level
  • Confident in managing demanding stakeholders
  • Experience in taking ownership of financial issues under their remit

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in the energy, government or telecommunications sectors
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment
  • Comfortable operating within a matrix environment
