Senior Project Accountant

This profitable international Infrastructure Construction, Design & Engineering Projects & contracting group, t/o £2bn, operates through several key operating divisions and specialises in the design, planning and maintenance of some of the world's most iconic infrastructure. Enjoying continued growth in recent years, the business has ambitious plans to capitalise on this success. As a result of an increasing number of large projects, the group is currently seeking a qualified accountant to undertake a Senior Project Accountant role. Supporting a key operating business unit, t/o £450m, you will provide expert financial knowledge and ensure best practice governance is in place. A broad brief includes:

•Preparation & review of monthly management accounts for contracts & Joint Ventures
•Ownership of project balance sheets; ensuring monthly standard reconciliations are completed & that backup is in place to support financial balances
•Ensuring Joint Venture accounts are compliant with agreements & parent charges are costed
•Assisting with quarterly forecasting process ready for review
•Supporting the review & improvement of operating unit financial reporting
•Proactive management & control of cash forecasting
•Supporting the roll-out of a new model & embedding the forecasting process
•Developing good knowledge of contracts & relationships with contract Finance site-based teams

As a ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, you will demonstrate strong technical financial capability, gained ideally within the Construction or Infrastructure sector, knowledge of international accounting policies and long-term contract accounting alongside hand on Excel skills. The role demands a proactive, energetic approach and the gravitas to build robust working relationships with business colleagues and external stakeholders.The business offers ongoing training and career development available across the group.
