Finance Manager

Investigo are delighted to have been exclusively engaged by a Milton Keynes based AIM Listed organisation who are looking to recruit a Finance Manager, on a permanent basis. The Company, a Multi - Site FMCG Retailer has a Global reach and they can boast doubled Turnover and trebled Profit in recent years, so now is an extremely exciting time to join their journey.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day financial activities are properly managed, and that the finance team add significant value to the business by developing and communicating insightful management information.

Key duties will include:

• Managing the weekly & monthly management accounts process including nominal reconciliations, lead schedules and preparing an audit standard month end Balance Sheet working file.
• Send & oversee management information out to key stakeholders on a regular timely basis (Directors and Group, in particular)
• Be an active force ensuring integrity and accuracy of stock reporting
• Assist in preparation of Year end & Half year end management and statutory type accounts - deal with external auditor's queries and provide full audit files and reconciliations
• Assist the Financial Controller with quarterly forecasts and budgets, with a focus on overhead expenditure.
• Oversee internal payroll function to ensure timely production and accurate journal entries
• To play an active role within the control system environment, in particular, reconciling key control accounts and advising of any control weakness with recommendations to improve
• Internal and external reporting, including overseeing the preparation of monthly VAT returns, Intrastat and EC sales reports
• Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc analysis.

The successful Candidate will be a Professionally Qualified individual with a minimum of 3 years subsequent experience in industry, performing at a high level. They should demonstrate a "hands on" approach to the detail, whilst being able to "see the bigger picture". Candidates will be able to demonstrate a passion for career progression, and see challenges as opportunities - the business are a meritocracy, and there are many examples of promotion from within. Experience working within a Group is essential, and FMCG experience is very desirable. Whilst candidates will be expected to possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy, they will not be a perfectionist and "won't let the perfect get in the way of the good".

Our Client is offering a very competitive remuneration package, including basic salary of £50,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + 5% Pension + Healthcare.
