Our client, a corporate services company based in Beaconsfield, are looking for a new Financial Controller.

They are now looking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller who will work closely with the MD and a small team to assist with the next phase of its development.

Note that this could be a part time role(4 days per week).

The current year end accounts are outsourced to an accounting firm and the new FC will need to work alongside the auditors (note that there is the potential longer term to bring this back in house).

Primary responsibilities 

  • Overseeing the day to day accounts department
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Preparation of the monthly MI and reporting pack including variance analysis and KPIs.
  • Day to day cash flow management and reporting.  
  • Preparation of annual financial budgets and monthly flexed budgets. 
  • Knowledge of SAGE200 - note that in time the company may look to move to a new software which you will oversee the migration of
  • Working capital management. 
  • Working with the leadership team, you will assist with commercial matters such as pricing, cost negotiation and project management.
  • Overseeing the preparation of VAT returns
  • Managing payroll processing and PAYE.
  • Development of the financial reporting systems and internal control procedures. 
  • Strategies to improve gross margin opportunities and cost reduction measures.
  • Preparation of annual financial reports. 
  • Liaising with the auditors. Note that the accounts are currently completed by external accountants - in time this may be brought back in house
  • Managing Company Secretarial matters. 
  • Beyond the financial function, there is an opportunity to further develop the company's IT requirements as well as dealing with more general management and administrative matters including Health and Safety
