Compliance & Operations Accountant

Accountancy Action is working with a leading business services company in order to find them a Compliance & Operations Accountant for their finance team. The business specialises in core accountancy and taxation services to small, local and independent businesses across the UK.

They offer support in a mixture of areas including IT, training, marketing and technical support. The services they offer are accounting, bookkeeping, tax advice, tax planning and compliance advice.

The successful applicant will assist the management team in providing a risk-based assessment of the franchisees’ businesses and assurance that all company protocols are being adhered to, from a commercial, operational and systems perspective.

Key aspects of the role will include:

• Prepare the audit plan.
• Perform the audit of all franchisees
• Ensure compliance with systems and regulations.
• Reporting on the findings from the audit
• Follow up on previous recommendations to ensure resolution
• Recommend system improvements
• Mentor and support colleagues

The ideal candidate will be a fully Qualified Accountant with working knowledge of UK financial reporting including regulation and compliance.
