Senior Accountant

US-owned global Blue Chip in the Telecommunications sector is looking for a high calibre qualified Accountant to join its dynamic and professional EMEA Financial Reporting team.

Reporting to the Snr Finance Manager in the Financial Reporting team of c, as part of a wider EMEA Finance Division of c, duties will include:

• Monthly accounting & reporting responsibilities under US GAAP for Intercompany
• Statutory reporting under local GAAP (IFRS) for EMEA legal entities incl financial statements prep
• Preparation of monthly entries and variance commentary for movements in Operating Expense
• Close liaison with EMEA FP&A to assist with commentary against forecast for EMEA Opex
• Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations using Blackline
• Working with North American accounting team counter-parts on day to day tasks/ reporting/ any issues
• Performing periodic controls
• Providing support to the annual audit and quarterly review processes
• Close working with EMEA tax team on tax comps, VAT returns & preparing quarterly tax forecasts

Requirements

• Qualified ACA (preferred), ACCA or equivalent with some post qualified experience
• Candidates with Industry or Practice (preferred) experience are welcome to apply, however candidates must have worked with / for a large , international, multi-entitied business
• Degree educated
• Strong knowledge of core accounting principles (IFRS, UKGAAP, and ideally US GAAP)
• Commercially astute
• Good planning / time management skills
• Motivation to succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Experience of SAP would be advantageous
• Candidate should be ambitious and hard-working, with strong attention to detail and good communication skills
• A team player, self-motivated with a hands-on approach to getting things done and seeking continuous process improvement
• The ability to organise tasks effectively, be logical and to plan and priorities
