Vitae are delighted to be working exclusively with a growing pharmaceutical business based in Watford to source a Junior Finance Manager to join their team. This business is part of a Global PLC that operates across Asia, Europe and USA and have exciting plans to grow in 2019.
This is a critical role with the business that will be working closely with the Head of Finance and will play a major part in the day to day running of the Finance Department.
Key Responsibilities:
-Ensuring all financial procedures and policies are kept to and updated as necessary
-Managing key financial processes such as banking, purchase ledger and sales ledger
-Credit control and dealing with customer queries
-Issue of credit notes to customers
-Supplier statement reconciliation and monthly payments
-Banking operations and posting to general ledger including bank reconciliation
-Expense claims checking analysis and posting
-Completion and submission of tax compliances such as VAT, EC sales
-Point of contact for the internal and external auditors
-Managing the period end close-down procedures to strict deadlines, including reconciling inter-company balances
-Management accounts preparation
-Ad hoc tasks to meet the needs of the business
-Supporting with continuous improvement, developing controls, processes and procedures
This role would suit a part-qualified / QBE accountant with a strong financial accounting background - capable of coming in and hitting the ground running within a fast-paced, close-knit finance team. A background of process implementation would be desirable but is not essential.
Excellent communication skills will be essential and there will be opportunity for the successful candidate to progress to a more senior role within the business.
