Working within a hard working but highly sociable finance department, this role will lead a small team and requires an experienced individual to drive change, take responsibility and implement continual process improvements. As the company continues to grow, the AP manager needs to ensure robust controls are in place and the team are motivated and in a position to manage an increase in demand.

This is a permanent role and requires and experience AP Manager who enjoys managing a team and wants to work within a dynamic company. This is a hands-on role and a great opportunity to join a company that continues to grow.

The Role:

  • Manage, train, and motivate and small but growing team of AP Assistants;
  • Take overall responsibility for the Accounts Payable ledger, allocating all workloads alongside being hands on and managing certain supplier accounts;
  • Proactively lead an ongoing process improvement strategy relating to the AP Function. Including the system;
  • Manage the weekly payment runs for suppliers and employee expenses;
  • Ensure full reconciliation of the ledger and manage the month end process;
  • Reconcile payments in collaboration with the AR team to ensure a healthy cash-flow is in place;
  • Assist the management accounts team during month and year end
  • Act as the main/senior point of contact for suppliers, key stakeholders and department heads to ensure a smooth supply of goods and services.
  • The Person:

  • Experience of management and supervising an AP department is essential, (min of 3-5 years within AP is a must);
  • Experience of MS Navision is preferred;
  • Ability to work within a fast paced and growing company, adapting to requirements to allow for a motivated team;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge others as required;
  • Highly motivated with the ability to inspire and drive others in a positive manner;
  • Strong relationship building skills;
  • Enjoys responsibility and taking ownership of a division;
  • Great team player with excellent attention to detail and the ability to exceed tight deadlines.
