Finance Manager - Leading Sports Business

A leading sports business which has enjoyed impressive recent success is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to a newly created post.

Gaining excellent exposure to the business, your duties will include the following:

• Oversight of the annual budget setting process.
• Regular cash flow forecasting.
• Management of the month end process, ensuring prompt P&L reporting and analysis of the balance sheet. 
• Working with the Finance Director to continually improve month end processes.
• Continually develop finance and reporting systems, processes, and best practice. 
• The development of monthly financial reporting.
• The production of monthly Flash reports for key senior stakeholders. 
• Producing meaningful monthly analysis and reporting that has the ability to support continued business growth and success. 
• Ownership of statutory reporting for certain entities, and management of the year end process.
• Manage the annual audit process, and the relationship with both internal and external auditors. 
• Assist the Finance Director with the completion of a range of projects and key initiatives.

Candidate requirements:

• Qualified accountant, with a strong preference for an ACA qualification.
• Proven ability to manage the month end and statutory year end process. 
• Prior experience gained within an accounting practice would be of distinct advantage. 
• Excellent communicator with the ability to manage relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Confident and outgoing personality.
• The desire to improve processes and procedures as part of your daily activities.
