THE ROLE

Tenmat, an international manufacturing business, is looking for a high calibre individual to manage their UK and overseas credit control.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for the successful operation of the company’s credit management activities.

The key responsibilities of the role will fall broadly into the following areas:

DUTIES OF ROLE

  • Demonstrate an organised approach to risk management using credit agency and credit insurance sources to monitor and maintain customer credit accounts within agreed limits.
  • Work with Tenmat’s credit insurance provider to review credit worthiness of new and existing customers and to report on overdue accounts.
  • Ensuring the successful collection of cash and reduction of aged debt, in line with business targets
  • Using your initiative to resolve issues as they arise by coordinating with colleagues in the UK and overseas
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the business to ensure coordination between the planning and release of customer orders to production only when accounts are operating within their credit limits.
  • Striving to improve the effectiveness of the credit control function by initiating ideas and suggestions
  • Producing detailed and timely reports and analysis

EDUCATION/TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy Credit Control role and have a solid understanding of Finance, ideally within the manufacturing or similar industry. In addition to this, they will have strong knowledge and practical experience of Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel.

The role would be located in Trafford Park, Manchester (where the Group’s management team is based).
