The advertising sales division of a global media organisation with some well-known brand is looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to join a dynamic team and report to the Sales Operations Manager.

 

This will help ensure that the sales ops team runs effectively and successfully maximising the collection and accuracy of revenue booked, ensuring minimal revenue is lost through bad practice or errors.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Manage and maintain all reconciliations for Lifestyle and client Accounts/Group Deal Campaigns.
  • Ensure that all Order Confirmations, Purchase Orders, Insertion Orders and/or Written Contracts correctly match the bookings
  • Liaise with Sales, Credit Control and Management Accounts throughout active campaigns to ensure that all campaigns are running in accordance to supplied documentation and Special Account guidelines
  • Conduct reconciliations against delivery stats and approve ready for invoicing once a month.
  • Manage customer invoice disputes and process credits/recharges.
  • Ensure that any credits processed are in accordance to the services that were agreed and provided at the booking stage. Discuss alternative points of action if this is not the case.
  • Help to further improve the reduction of lost revenue
  • Escalate concerns to management where necessary.
  • Chase absent Purchase Order Numbers where necessary.

About you

  • Be proficient in using excel for business requirements - e.g. vlookups, sums, pivot tables etc.
  • Possess and maintain a good understanding of Digital Sales, Print Sales and Credit Control. Ensure that knowledge of processes and internal departments is regularly updated, where necessary, according to any business changes.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Finance role, preferable gained within an agency/ advertising or Media
  • Good team player but also happy to work unsupervised
  • Strong administrative and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills – confidence in dealing with high-profile external clients
