Assistant Royalty Accountant

Fantastic opportunity to work for an Accountancy practice who specialises in providing royalty, accounting, taxation and business management to an array of well-known clients in the Music & Entertainment industries.

The company requires someone who previous finance/royalties experience gained within the Music industry to work with their clients within this area.

Ideally you will have exposure to the recordings royalty environment and be looking to continue developing your career within royalties. Music Publishing backgrounds may be considered.

The Role:

• End to end royalty accounting to artists & songwriters
• Responsible for the calculation of artist management commissions
• Collation, filing & process of incoming royalty statements for clients
• Maintain the database with incoming royalty statements and related information
• Resolve any royalty related queries
• Provide general assistance to the royalty audit function
• Maintain client account details
• Ad hoc analysis required by the firm or artists/clients.

The Person:

• Minimum of 12 months royalty accounting/administration experience gained with a Record Label or Music Publishing company
• Exposure to Counterpoint would be a distinct advantage
• Strong Excel skills are a must
• Sound communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and a good team player.
