Estio Training Ltd is one of the UK’s leading providers of IT apprenticeships. In the last 12 months they have worked with over 1,000 learners and partnered with over 700 businesses across the UK. Their client list is an impressive collection of organisations; from privately owned SMEs to large household names. Estio have doubled in size every year since the business was formed in 2014. Having received Private Equity investment in September 2018, they are now looking to recruit a full-time FD to help drive the business towards its next transaction.

The management team are a young, enthusiastic and extremely capable group of individuals who have grown this innovative business to become an organisation renowned for delivering high quality, innovative and structured training. The market in which they operate has significant headroom for growth and the projections for scaling the business are exciting.

With growth and investment comes an increased need and desire for financial control, reporting and commercial / strategic analysis. This will be provided by the new FD and represents an opportunity for an ambitious individual to step into a challenging but potentially very rewarding environment.

The Finance Director will further enable Estio to make faster and more informed decisions around efficiency, commercial strategy and growth. The FD’s strategic value will need to be underpinned by their ability to respond to the demands of PE and their ability to develop increasingly robust and scalable controls.

The successful candidate must be prepared to provide constructive challenge to established and evolving commercial thought and opportunities. Finance needs to be embedded in the business as an added value function and the FD must be able to mirror the enthusiasm, professionalism, fun and dedication of the senior team.

The successful candidate will be attracted by the opportunity of working in a vibrant, PE backed business. You’ll have an analytical mind and will, of course, be a qualified accountant. An interest and ability to be hands on will be very important and your interpersonal skills must be excellent.

You might have worked in industry since graduating or perhaps you trained in Practice before moving into an advisory function or out into Industry; we’re open to ideas. Either way, you’ll absolutely be able to show the drive, common sense and commercial nous needed to succeed in this career defining role.

If this opportunity is of interest, please send a copy of your most recent CV along with details of your current salary and benefits package.
