Are you a Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant with proven experience working within a finance or accounting environment? 

Are you passionate about sharing best practice and challenging assumptions? 

If so, our team would love to hear from you as here at The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) we are looking to employ two Project Accountants. 

With the freedom to employ curiosity and openly question assumptions being made about current and future ways of working and their financial impact, the Project Accountant will have the opportunity to build lasting relationships and influence key decisions that will improve the future vision of the DVSA and its systems. 

As Project Accountant, you will obtain a wide understanding of the Business through advising, supporting and challenging business areas on a regular basis ensuring financial efficiency. Although you will mostly work independently, support will be regularly available from a strong network of colleagues within the area, allowing the opportunity to collaborate and share ideas with others. 

About you:

As an ambitious, self-motivated Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant with a keen eye for detail, you will be confident working alone using initiative, or as part of a wider network. To be successful as Project Accountant, you will bring the confidence to deliver difficult messages in a way which is well-received by all. 

As Project Accountant, you will be resilient and skilled to quickly and effectively understand requirements and advise the business, putting a financial slant on any advice provided. You will be focussed on contributing to improvements business wide.
