Badenoch + Clark are working with an excellent organisation who are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Senior Financial Accountant role is to implement and/or maintain one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Statutory account preparation, Analytical review, Reconciliations etc. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.
Tasks and Responsibilities.
oServe as direct support to the Financial Controller in the oversight and monitoring of the Financial Close Process. This includes performing month-end account analysis for both income statement, balance sheet and reconciliations to ensure all accounts are properly reconciled along with presenting the results to management.
oResponsible for maintaining and accuracy of accounts for several companies in the region.
oApply US GAAP to complex accounting transactions. On an annual basis transition accounts to local GAAP and prepare regulatory financial statements and associated schedules.
oStrong cross functional skills with an ability to translate technical literature & policies clearly to non-financial business partners.
oResponsible for maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley internal control narratives and testing documentation for areas of responsibilities.
oResponsible for planning and supporting annual and interim audits as well as participation in quarterly review.
oResponsible for opening, incorporating and accounting for new European entities.
oDrive process improvement initiatives by applying strong communication, collaboration and problem solving skills.
oStrong problem solving & decision-making skills, being able to identify, analyse and offer other solutions to complex problems.
You will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience of working in a large, complex organisation.
