Axon Moore are looking for an experienced Interim Financial Reporting Manager for a hugely successful e-commerce business in Manchester city centre.

As a result of business expansion, a superb opportunity has arisen for a forward-thinking individual to join this fast moving successful e-commerce business. This last year saw record profits which led to increased opportunity and career development for all in finance. Due to the planned delivery of major projects including a new finance system an interim position is available to provide additional resource within the team.

This role will be primarily office based (Manchester) but there may be limited requirement for international travel.

Duties:

• Management of team of three direct reports in the financial reporting department
• Preparation of monthly group consolidated Hyperion reports to meet parent company reporting requirements
• Create and develop financial management and reporting of subsidiary undertakings. This will include liaising with company staff, contractors and financial advisors based outside the UK
• Preparation and review of annual overseas branch or entity financial statements
• Statistical analysis and review of key balance sheet accounts
• Development of key financial controls as part of the risk control matrix
• Co-ordinate preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting
• Compile key business metrics and report them to management
• Ensure that finances are properly administered and monitored
• Ensure that all financial reporting requirements are met for operations
• Dealing with ad hoc queries from internal management as well as liaising with the parent company
• Day to day involvement in the financial management of the business
• Developing financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk
• Developing and training a dedicated and hard-working team
• Provide financial input to project teams across the business as required

Person Specification:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
• Big 4 accountancy practice experience an advantage
• Experience of managing a high performing team
• Experience working with a structured and methodical approach to tasks and have the ability to identify risks and recommend actions to mitigate these
• A proven track record of building and developing effective working relationships, excellent communication and good problem-solving skills
• Experience of delivering concise and accurate reports to stakeholders to strict deadlines
• Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with employees and external contacts
• Liaison with auditors internal and external
