Project Accountant

I am currently representing PE-backed communications business based in Buckinghamshire who are looking for a hands-on Project Accountant. The business is experiencing more than 35% year on year organic growth, placing them at the forefront of the communications revolution. They are market leaders and passionate about the service they give. With a turnover north of £35m and celebrated joint and individual and team success, it is an extremely lucrative opportunity providing you with the experience of working within a PE-backed business.

The Role:

The role has come around due to the continued growth of their customer base, winning ever more prestigious customers. You will be business partnering with other departments of the business, working very closely with the Commercial Finance Controller whilst reporting into the Finance Director. You would be the key preparer of financial information used for margin analysis and presentations to the board.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership and management of balance sheet items relating to revenue and COS
• Offering demonstrable knowledge and/or ability to manage, analyse and interpret large volumes of data into meaningful information (e.g. use of data analytics or presentation tools such as Power BI, Cognos, Sharperlight)
• Identification of P&L risks and opportunities
• Hands-on accounting, reporting and control role, which will involve use of our SAP B1 accounting system
• Monthly accounting for revenues and costs of cloud solutions projects
• Monthly accounting for mobile revenues and costs
• P&L project reporting within monthly analysis schedules  
• Support margin improvement initiatives across the business

Key Requirements

• ACA/ACCA from top 10 accountancy firm
• 1^st or 2^nd move from industry
• Tech-savvy
