Our Client is looking for an appropriately qualified Finance Manager to support their Operations, taking responsibility for; raising invoices, preparation of month end accounts, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, producing budgets and forecasts, as well as supporting the Head of Finance in system improvements and process controls.
Responsibilities to include:
- Lead and participate in the monthly management accounts for the Division ensuring timely, accurate and complete information is available (P&L and Balance Sheet)
- Report on variances to the relevant managers and Directors
- Recommend changes that will improve the company's financial performance
- Benchmark data against internal and external information
- Lead the budget process for the division, liaising with the Divisional Director and management team to understand budget requirements
- Assist the Head of Finance with systems improvements, including BI Reporting
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Support the implementation of new processes, controls and systems into the divisions
- Ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards
- Ad hoc tasks to meet the needs of the business
Skills/Attributes required
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Excellent Excel skills
- A minimum of three years experience using an ERP system
- Good communication skills
- Hands on approach and proven ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- The ability to think outside the box
- A team player
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to advise managers/clinicians of differing financial understandings
- Good analytical skills
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Full UK driving licence and willing to travel to company sites across the UK for meetings as required
