Assistant Director of Finance

This is an opportunity to work with 2 Councils who are coming together to create one senior leadership team. The organisation needs an Assistant Director of Finance to manage the operational delivery of the finance function and support the transformation for the future.

Your new role
You must be a qualified accountant with extensive experience in the Local Government Sector, ideally at a S151 or Deputy S151 level. You will be managing 2 finance teams across 2 locations and working with the senior leadership team to support the operational strategy to encourage a collaborative culture across the function.

Ideally you will have managed a team of people across a multi-disciplinary function, as this role oversees finance, procurement, fraud prevention and revenues.


What you'll get in return
This is a 6 month interim opportunity, in-scope of IR35, and the daily rate will depend on experience. It is essential that you have Local Government experience for this role
