Our client is a high growth digital business that is set to grow exponentially over the coming years both in the UK and overseas. As a consequence they are now looking to recruit a first-in-class CFO who will be responsible for scaling the finance function, including implementing processes and procedures whilst also operating as a key strategic partner. The CFO is a broad role with responsibility across a number of operational functions, including Legal, HR, Tax and IT.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the finance department to provide effective management of the company’s finances and support the executive team in the strategic management of the company.
- Within a high-growth environment maintain appropriate controls, forecasts and commercial analyses, ensuring timely and accurate reports and accounts and through these assist the business in achieving its objectives.
- Responsible for stakeholder management including Investors and Banks
- Develop and iterate a robust pricing strategy
- Responsible for tracking, analysing and monitoring financial performance metrics
- Provide full monthly management accounts and reports/ KPIs to the Board
- Effective management of the working capital of the business
- Maximise sales and margin opportunities
- Preparation of year-end audited accounts and audit management
- Manage the full accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processes through outsourced team
- Review and implement any additional financial controls and processes and compliance, including tax
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance
- Management of IT
Person Specification
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in a high growth, fast paced technology business
- Strong understanding of how value is created in an emerging digital business
- Previous transaction experience, either as an advisor or in a lead finance role
- Previous PE/ exit experience
