Senior German speaking Accountant

Our client, a leading Commercial Company based in the Hounslow area, are currently recruiting for a German speaking Senior Accountant on a permanent basis. In order to apply you will be a fluent or native German speaker with at least 2 years plus experience within accountancy and finance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring proper processing of daily transactions in the general ledger for all EMEA entities
• Assisting department managers with ensuring all purchase requisitions are reviewed for policy compliance and general ledger coding prior to entry into the accounting system
• Responsible for the timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations for all EMEA entities in
• accordance with closing schedule on a monthly basis
• Responsible for the preparation of lead schedules for month-end review
• Responsible for ensuring the timely completion of all cash reconciliations at the end of each month
• Responsible for month end accruals into general ledger on a monthly basis
• Working with the Tax Department to provide information and guidance for VAT accruals and payments
• Responsible for contacts with the local tax and other local authorities.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley key controls in areas of responsibility

Person Specification:

• German speaker is essential - native or fluent speaking
• 2+ years relevant experience required
• Accounting qualification required - ACCA, ACA, CIMA or European equivalent
• Having worked in Germany is a Plus
• High Proficiency Microsoft Excel Required
• Experience with JD Edwards or Equivalent Accounting System Strongly Preferred
• Experience working in a multicompany & multicurrency environment required
• Experience with International Hi-tech/Software Company a Plus
