Blackwaters is recruiting a CFO on behalf of a rapidly growing B2B group, based in South West London. Reporting to the CEO, the FD will be responsible for the entire finance function for this treble-digit, privately owned growth group.
- Responsible for oversight of the invoicing, credit control & payroll departments
- Responsible for the finance team's remit (including quarterly intermediaries reporting to HMRC, monthly PAYE and quarterly VAT returns, Corporation Tax, Sage accounts and Sage payroll, as well internal payroll process).
- Providing key commercial and operational support to the board
- Managing the first and subsequent audit processes
- Reviewing and refining all finance procedures, where appropriate
- Managing cashflow
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Preparing year end accounts
- Leading with budgeting and forecasting
- Providing leadership to the business through finance expertise
- Key involvement in client negotiation
- Preparation for exit
Core Skills:
- CIMA, ACA OR ACCA qualified
- Experience as an FD within a high-growth business
- Recruitment industry exposure
- Technically sound in all areas of accounting
- Systems implementation exposure would be helpful
Additional Skills:
- Commercially strong, skilled negotiator and customer facing
- Demonstrable experience of people management Ability to work autonomously as the sole specialist developing and streamlining the finance function, as well as developing robust financial controls
- An advanced excel user, competent with managing, reviewing, analysing and challenging data Strong attention to detail under pressure and working with high volumes
- A natural problem-solving mentality and approach
- Highly organised with a natural ability to prioritise
- High levels of tenacity and integrity
- Ability to work in ambiguous situations, push back and ask questions
