This is a key role within Internal Audit with responsibility for our professional practices, including methodology, process and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for Internal Audit’s methodology, processes and policies, including ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Developing and running Quality Assurance process.
- Working with Head of Audit Operations to create a strategy and roadmap to deliver the vision for Internal Audit.
- Leading working groups within the team to review and improve their methodology and process.
- In conjunction with the Head of Audit Operations, work with the Technology function to review requirements for technology, including assessing and implementing an appropriate solution.
- Drawn upon input from relevant external forums or professional services firms.
- Ensure changes to best practices, regulations and guidelines from the IIA and other relevant bodies are incorporated accordingly.
- Facilitating pilot of new concepts with individual audit teams and analysing results.
- Controlled communication and roll-out of changes to the team including training.
- Act as point of contact for the team for methodology and process queries.
Key Experience and Competencies
- Internal Audit experience, either in practice or industry
- Strong working knowledge of best practices for Internal Audit through exposure to diverse audit functions.
- Self-motivated and independent worker with the confidence to deliver change.
- Good project management skills.
- Knowledge of IIA and other relevant standards, guidelines and regulations.
- Experience of participation in relevant external forums.
- Desirable - leading review and change of internal audit methodology.
- Adaptability
- Strong Stakeholder management skills - C-Suite
