Investigo are delighted to have been exclusively engaged to recruit an FP&A Manager, on behalf of a growing Northamptonshire based FMCG business.


Following a strong period of growth, our Client has recently appointed a new Exec team and the CFO understands the need to take business decisions based on facts, and wishes to build a stronger Finance Function at the heart of the business. The existing finance function is being split into two: Financial Control and FP&A. The new FP&A function will concentrate on business partnering and driving an analytical culture, which will improve decision making and help uncover ways of improving the business model - a relentless focus on making things better.
They have hired a new leader for this function, and are now recruiting a second FP&A manager as they look to build a high performing team who are highly valued by the business. The team will have responsibility for creating a set of analytical tools that help business leaders understand how the different areas of the business are performing. They will use these tools to uncover opportunities, and take a hands-on approach, looking at all aspects of the operation - both in the UK and overseas markets and in the factory and office environments. This role isn't just about writing reports; it is a focus on driving change, challenging our existing thinking, and making a tangible difference to the business.
The FP&A Manager will focus their attention on the operational and cost structures, working closely with both the operations team, marketing team, and other cost centre owners in the business. As a manufacturing business, with a large on-site factory, understanding the production cost base, the variables and how to drive efficiency is key. The business are implementing a new BI system in the business that will give access to production and spend data at a granular level, the FP&A Manager will lead the work using data to work with operations colleagues (both in the office, and on the shop floor) to drive an understanding and efficiency in our production processes.


The successful Candidate will be a Professionally Qualified individual with 2-5 years PQE, and a strong analytical background. They will be an exceptional communicator who is comfortable influencing, challenging and partnering at all levels within the business. Candidates will be highly systems savvy, and possess advanced Excel skills. Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.


Our Client is offering a salary of £55,000 + Bonus + Benefits.
