My client, a high-growth Fintech are looking for a Junior Reconciliations Analyst to join their reconciliations team. Reporting to the Senior Reconciliations lead, you will have relevant experience in working within a Financial services environment.

Experience in executing reconciliations within a financial services sector is a must. You will demonstrate strong numeric skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines whilst delivering to a high standard. You will have an analytical mindset with excellent communication and rapport building skills with the ability to influence and liaise with finance and non-finance stake holders.

Responsibilities

  • To execute the monthly reconciliations with our existing issuing bank, matching incoming and outgoing payments, investigating discrepancies
  • Deliver all reconciliations on time accelerating the process to a daily reconciliation
  • Lead investigations into any discrepancies found within the reconciliation
  • Liaise with external partners to develop understanding of 3rd party data sources and matching logic between these sources
  • Provide monthly reconciliations between supplier invoices and transactional data
  • Liaise with the Operations and Fraud teams to explore root causes for breaks in the reconciliation and to improve processes and documentation

We're looking for someone ticking all or most of these boxes:

  • Finance associated Degree
  • Up to 1 year experience in Reconciliations
  • Attention to detail 
  • Track record of delivering projects to challenging deadlines
  • Comfortable with Excel
  • Basic SQL and database experience
  • Programming experience (e.g. Python) would be useful
  • Excellent Stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Good people and relationship-building skills
