Senior Management Accountant

I am currently working with private equity-backed hospitality company who are recruiting a Management Accountant in a newly created role. The business is growing internationally on a buy and build model and this role has arisen as a result of recent acquisitions.

The Role:

This will be a hands-on role for an ambitious employee and offers the opportunity to line manage one partly qualified accountant. The company require the candidate to produce monthly management accounts for two separate entities within the group, producing cashflow analysis, preparing budgets and forecasts.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a role that requires extensive budgeting and forecasting skills, with the ability to be detailed and review balance sheets. The Management Accountant will need to be hands on and will have potential to work on integrating acquisitions in to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing monthly management accounts
• Preparing budgets and forecasts
• Review preparation of accruals, prepayments and journals
• Review balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Prepare cashflow analysis
• Support the integration of further acquisitions
• Manage part qualified accountant
• Train staff members in accountancy software package

Experience and attributes:

• NetSuite or Oracle accounting system experience is essential
• Qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA is essential
• Fast learner, keen to get private equity experience and looking for career progression
• Previous line management experience would be an advantage
