Finance Manager - Project Accounting

Partner Financial are working with a FTSE listed organisation based in London, seeking an experienced interim professional Finance Manager, overseeing Project Accounting. The role will support set-up and maintenance across the project, supporting Project Accountants in key decisions around technical accounting and best practice for Project processes. The role will be working with relevant Divisional Finance teams on their projects, programmes and project portfolios, Group Finance and other teams within Finance Operations to deliver support to the business in setting up of projects in S4 Hana, managing quality of data entry into Project Systems (PS)on SAP, performing accounting and reporting on projects and providing guidance on revenue recognition.

Essential Competencies

• Fully-qualified Accountant
• Expert knowledge and application of Project Systems
• Robust technical accounting skills, such as Revenue Recognition and Capex
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Accomplished management of people, and the gravitas to lead and influence the project
• Preparation of high-quality financial analysis and reports for key internal stakeholders
• Comfort when working autonomously, or in ambiguous and fluctuating situations
• Experience of working in a large matrixed organisation
• Commerciality and Business Partnering Experience
• SAP BPC experience is essential
• S/4 HANA experience is desirable
• Experience of building new project/contract accounting discipline into Operations functions
• You will be required to travel across the UK for up to 30% of the role
• Flexible working arrangements are negotiable
