Responsibilities:
This role will provide analytical support and guidance for commercial pricing, discounting, and market-specific strategies.
Essential Functions:
*Create and administer tools/processes needed for the collection and storage of competitive data
*Analyse collected data to better understand competitor strategies, both customer-specific and market-based
*Create and administer tools/processes for gathering information on market trends and practices.
*Develop, test (through analysis), and recommend countermeasures to competitor strategies
*Track and analyse performance of existing customers versus assumption-based business models
*Business partner with Sales, BD, Finance Transportation and Merchandising teams to review, recommend, and execute changes to customer and market-based strategy
*Collaborate with others on the commercial strategy team to develop best practices and streamline processes
*Support Sales/BD/Overall Commercial team with ad-hoc analysis as-needed, in pursuit of shared objectives
Minimum Requirements:
*Newly/part qualified accountant (CIMA,ACCA,ACA)
*3-5 years of experience in a Business/Financial Analyst role
*Advanced Excel skills
*Analytical and numerate
*Able to organise own work and to take initiative
*Good team player
*Candidate must demonstrate strong communication ability, both oral and written
