Client Accountant - Commercial Property Portfolio. OUR CLIENT is a leading and successful national firm of Property Advisors in Residential and Commercial property who have a very good reputation in the market and are seeking a Client Accountant to join their team.
Reporting to Head of Property Accounts THE ROLE will entail:
- Managing a portfolio for multiple clients.
- Setting up Clients, Properties, Units, Leases and Tenants/Debtors.
- Issuing monthly and quarterly rent demand/invoices.
- Preparing Funding Requests.
- Preparing & reconciling client statements.
- Periodic Ad-hoc client reporting in Excel.
- Preparing bank reconciliations in accordance with RICS and FSA.
- Transferring funds to clients within strict deadlines.
- Carrying out daily maintenance (rent increases, assignments and renewals).
- Authorising creditor invoice batches.
- Liaising and dealing with surveyors, client, supplier, tenant, auditors queries.
- Preparing periodic VAT reports and VAT reconciliations
- Preparing service charge packs
- Reconciling year end service charges
- Liaising with external auditors regarding year end service charge reconciliations
- Preparing service charge cash recs
THE PERSON to apply MUST have a proven track record working in commercial real estate / property client accounting (as an agent) with a knowledge of commercial service charges. The successful candidate will be literate in Excel and property systems (QUBE/TRAMPS/YARDI) as well as be strong interpersonally and work under their own initiative. It will be helpful if the person has a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
