Accounts Assistant

A well known luxury retail business are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their expanding finance team. The role would suit a Finance Graduate who has experience with bank reconciliations ideally from retail, looking to progress their career.

Main responsibilities include:

• Responsible for calculation, compilation and submission of VAT Returns monthly and quarterly for all entities within the group
• Responsible for the calculation of UK Retail Payroll, including commission payable, and the review, posting and where applicable, payment of the international retail payroll

• Bank reconciliations for all accounts in the cash books for each entity.
• Employee Expenses, review & posting including maintenance of company travel cards in accordance with the travel schedule.
• Foreign currency/petty cash arrangement for the Managing Director.
• Intrastat and EC Sale reporting.
• Quarterly balance sheet reconciliations for nominal accounts as assigned.
