Investigo are currently partnered with a well known business headquartered in central London as they look to recruit a Head of Finance for their growing team.

This role looks after the overall financial management and reporting of the group transformaiton projects as well as business case preperation and challenge to ensure cost governance and benefit realisation. You will work closely with other heads of finance as well as other funcitonal departments.

Duties;

  • Ensure full transparency, understanding and interpretation of the Transformation Programmes.
  • Manage the monthly transformation financial performance review, consolidate and challenge forecasts, and ensure risks and opportunities are effectively managed.
  • Provide input into the Group FP&A function
  • Providing the appropriate high level or detailed analysis of performance. Prioritising issues for review in relevant functional and Finance Performance Reviews.
  • Manage the month-end close, budgeting and forecasting process for the transformation programmes, within the guidelines and timetable established by the Financial Control team.
  • Provide expert advice and an independent view to the Finance Leadership Team, CFO and Functional GE members.
  • Evaluate business cases for the Group Transformation Programmes, providing challenge to Programme Directors, Project Managers and Operations, making recommendations to improve investment decisions.
  • Educate non-finance people around financial processes, commercial understanding, and reducing risk exposure.
  • Drive a finance business partner mentality
  • Work with the Strategic Portfolio Office on designing, developing and maintaining a benefits methodology and process for all programmes, ensuring the business takes accountability for delivery and transparency of benefits, including understanding the link between programme milestones and benefits realisation.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with any specific legislative, regulatory, or contractual requirements.
  • Support and lead initiatives around Group Change

Experience/Skills Required

  • ACA Qualified Accountant
  • Good understanding of finance systems
  • Strong understanding of Activity Based Costing, Zero Based budgeting and other relevant budgetary techniques
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to effectively summarise and interpret data to senior non-finance business leaders
  • High Commercial acumen
  • Managing complexity, ambiguity and change
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with proven report writing skills
  • The ability to lead and influence a room of Senior leaders across the Business
  • Ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivating
