Financial Controller job in London, full financial responsibility for this clinical trial stage pharma company

With a new, innovative facility to manufacture their products, the business continues to make great progress in improving the lives of patients globally. Despite still being in relatively early stages, the business is very well funded and has attracted many highly regarded investors.

Your new role
Reporting to the CFO, you'll have full financial responsibility leading the team of 3 and establishing the finance function as best in class. An ERP system implementation is underway to further improve the business operations, and your role will include building relationships with the senior leadership team. You'll also be tasked with business partnering the drug development teams and commercial operations to drive efficiencies. Budgeting, forecasting, statutory and management reporting and tax make up this well rounded Head of Finance job.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a sound technical understanding from completing your ACA, ACCA or CIMA accounting qualification, and experience of working in a pharma, biotech or life sciences company to understand the clinical trial process, alongside the risks and complexities of the associated financial reporting. You'll also have experience at Financial Controller level, and the interpersonal skills to communicate with non finance colleagues and management on a day to day basis.
