Ignata Finance are delighted to have been tasked with recruiting a Financial Controller for a PE backed business in Gatwick. This comes at an exciting time for the business, who are due to see significant growth and have some exciting upcoming projects which the successful candidate will be heavily involved with. This role will report into the CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop the transactional finance team to ensure accuracy of reporting, robust controls and team efficiency
• Oversee production and presentation of the consolidated monthly reporting pack
• Review and improve the consolidation and reporting pack and process
• Update the annual forecast and highlight any areas of risk to the Board
• Preparation of the year end consolidated accounts and management of the audit process
• Preparation and submission of statutory accounts, tax returns, VAT and other regulatory returns
• Ensure robust cash flow management and forecasting
• Review and authorise payroll
• Administer the company’s online banking system
• Review and improve the finance function processes to maximise the accuracy and efficiency of the finance team
• Develop and maintain relationships with other department heads to ensure full visibility of ongoing activities
• Support the CFO in the development and execution of taxation strategy
• Provide support to the budget and forecasting processes

Skills and experience required:

• ACA/ACCA qualified
• Experience in UK GAAP and IFRS
• Experience of producing statutory accounts
• Strong staff management and leadership skills
• Tax knowledge and experience is desirable
• Robust technical skills including consolidated accounts
• Able to build relationships and communicate clearly
• Advanced Excel skills essential

Location: Gatwick

Salary: £65-75k depending on experience
