Assistant Property Fund Accountant - Maternity Contract OUR CLIENT is a thriving independent real estate investment and asset management company, providing fund and asset management services for both private and institutional investors have been able to build an excellent reputation in the market due to their continuous outperformance of assets under management. They have currently instructed us to identify an Assistant Property Fund Accounting contractor to cover a 9 month contract.
The Role will include:
- Bank statement reconciliation and posting.
- Preparing cash flow forecasts and month end packs for review.
- Reviewing posted financial data and conducting monthly Trial Balance reconciliations.
- Preparing quarterly VAT reports.
- Assisting in preparing quarter end accounts pack.
- Journal posting; including vacant rates, bank interests, professional fees, management fee calculation, rent straight lining, and payment reconciliations.
- Reconciling client statement from property managers.
- Capital expenditure reconciliations.
- Updating the forecast models with actual data.
- Preparing audit files.
- Assisting with budget preparations.
- Inputting invoices.
- Setting up new suppliers when required.
- Supporting in the preparation of debt compliance reports.
- Assisting with general administrative tasks when required.
THE PERSON: The ideal candidate will be able to produce accounts to TB stage including month end reconciliations and journals. You will be a self-starter, with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to working and ideally be AAT qualified and/or studying towards CIMA or ACCA. It would be helpful if the candidate had previous real estate / property accounting experience and an understanding of property systems (QUBE / YARDI or equivalent).
