Ignata Finance are delighted to be working with a hugely successful private equity backed technology business located near Redhill. This is a newly created role which report directly into the Finance Director. This a highly progressive role which will include management of a small accounts team and an opportunity to fast track to UK FC for the right candidate. This role will be a mixture of financial accounts, management accounts, commercial finance and management.
Due to the nature of the role my client is willing to consider two types of candidates:
- ACA or ACA qualified Accountants currently working in practice with both audit and team management experience
- ACA, CIMA or ACCA commerce and industry candidates with the following experience:
- Able to produce a set of management accountant
- Experience of statutory accounting (VAT, Tax etc)
- Experience of supervising a team
- Taken a lead in the annual audit process
- Experience of dealing with banks and tax department would be desirable
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a key business partner to non-finance teams – explaining budget/spend
- On a monthly basis present financials to FD, CFO and CEO ensuring variances are communicated effectively making suggestions where possible to increase profit share.
- Assist with 5 year budget planning.
- Assist with strategic planning of the business.
- Responsible for the preparation of the management accounts.
- Responsible for KPI reporting, Profit & Loss reporting (incl commentary) and complex balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure the P&L is fully analysed ensuring any variances are accounted for and reported to head of departments,
- Preparation of VAT & Tax returns in line with statutory requirements.
- Preparation of the statutory accounts.
- Work with the purchase ledger department to ensure payments are made in line with SLA’s.
- Review bank reconciliations.
- Cashflow forecasting and reporting.
- Assist with future acquisitions and mergers (investment appraisals)
- Manage a small team including PDP’s, supervising workload and hiring future staff.
- Ad hoc projects and reporting.
