Management Accountant (Manufacturing)

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting a qualified Management Accountant for a well established and successful manufacturing business in Sheffield that has an extended network of operations covering more than 30 countries. The current turnover of the firm is over $6 billion and it employs over 10,000 people globally.

This important and influential Management Accountant role will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for month end reporting as well as business partnering with the operations to help drive continuous improvement.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

*Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts (Including Profit & Loss, balance sheet provisions, reconciliation's, fixed assets, stock, journals, accruals and prepayments)
*Working under Sarbanes Oxley and US GAAP compliance
*Business partnering for multiple manufacturing plants within Liberty Speciality Metals - Assisting with various projects to increase the efficiency of the production process
*Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly operational management reporting for senior management
*Operational planning, budgeting and forecasting
*Providing variance analysis along with commentary
*Costing and related analysis for the plants
*CAPEX/Project appraisal and proposal
*Continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and productivity
*Assisting with strategic development of operational areas
*Daily production and inventory reporting, reconciling the inventory position and provisions
*Assisting in both internal and external audits

The successful Management Accountant will be a qualified CIMA or ACCA accountant, although late part qualified accountants will also be considered. A background in manufacturing is highly desirable although not essential and the successful candidate will have a passion for getting beyond the numbers. They seek a confident communicator, able to deal with stakeholders at all levels and the ability to be able to work in a fast-paced business environment.
