Head of FP&A

 
A London market Underwriting Business is looking to bolster its finance function with the hiring of a Head of FP&A who will focus on business partnering and taking ownership of the UK result. The purpose of the FP&A team is to enable effective decision making in the business through business partnering activities and building close working relationships with the Directors of all lines of business.

Working with the Finance Director to further develop the FP&A function in the UK:

• Establishing close working relationships with the UK Business units and Exec team to understand the commercial drivers of the business’s performance.
• Working with the Managing Directors and UK Exec to identify strategic opportunities for
• growth and work with the teams to realise these.
• Responsibility for the reporting cycle and UK Budgeting and Forecasting annual exercises, working with Group FP&A team to ensure alignment with the group timetable
• Management of the onshore and Shared services teams in the production of all monthly performance reporting, production of management accounting packs and board reporting.
• Line Management of onshore team including motivation, coaching and performance management.
• Development and running of financial models to support M&A and other strategic initiatives, actively contributing to the due diligence and modelling of new teams.

To be considered for this position you must be a qualified accountant, ideally trained in practice, and must have a thorough understanding of the drivers of different lines of non-life insurance.
