Management Accountant - Retail - £35k

Goodman Masson are currently recruiting for an assistant management accountant for a leading luxury retail brand based in Hammersmith. This role is looking for someone with at least 1 years experience in management accounts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare P&L and commentary on the weeks performance to be issued each Monday
• Preparation of Marketing slides for inclusion in the month end finance presentation pack to be issued to senior management
• Regularly liaise with stakeholders and support business analysts with ad hoc queries and analysis on cost centres and general expenditure
• Prepare periodic summaries on actual vs budgeted payroll expenditure and challenge any overspends
• Support and assist with the annual budgeting process
• Prepare analysis for the year end statutory audit and provide support to assist with any queries that may arise
• Various other ad-hoc duties within the finance department

Requirement

• Studying towards ACCA or CIMA (preferably part qualified), with at least 12 months accounting experience
• Motivated individual with good attention to detail
• Ability to work independently to investigate variances and create new accounting processes
• Willingness to challenge processes and costs incurred with senior management
• Strong time-management skills and the ability and willingness to multi-task
• Enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills
• Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities
• Strong PC literacy, particularly Excel (and preferably SAP)
