Regional Accountant

Investigo are currently partnered with a rapidly growing tech business who are looking to hire a London based Senior Financial Accountant to focus on one of their emerging regions.

Duties;

• Work with regional and local finance teams to manage financial tasks of the business including:
  • Month-end closing
  • Accounts receivable/working capital management
  • Accounts payable management
  • Cashflow forecast
  • Working with local tax advisors to meet taxation compliance deadline
  • Banking payments
  • Ad hoc queries

• Have experience in running month-end closing independently is critical and working with various accounting software is advantageous. Willingness to learn new ERP accounting software is a must.
• Ability to travel to our markets in Africa to perform detailed process walk-throughs then establish core finance tasks.
• Review and follow-up of local reconciliations and accounting entries to provide assurance of consistency and accuracy with Accounting Policy.
• Working with external audits to complete Statutory audits to deliver an efficient and proactive audit sign-off.
• Collaborating with Headquarters and Regional teams to drive the review and standardisation of internal processes, procedures and controls so as to meet the demands of a fast-growing business.
• Ability to execute with accuracy and timeliness of financial control processes.
• Coordinating and running several projects (including implementation of new accounting software).
• Ability to follow-up with external advisors and ensure meeting compliance taxation and regulatory deadline including ensure we recognize accurately taxation expense and tax accounting treatment.

• Qualified accountant with relevant expeirence
• Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical. Must be hands on and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-moving environment.
• A self-starter, very organised and exceptional follow-up skills.
• Independent, structured and able to self-assess and self-problem solve.
• Experience from evaluating and mitigating financial and operational risks and implementing internal controls.
• Demonstrated analytical ability with the competence to communicate analytical and financial results/issues to various level stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to build a strong relationship with internal, external, local, regional and global stakeholders.
• Knowledge and experience within accounting and experience from performing month-end/year-end closing is a must.
• Willingness to travel to markets within Africa/Latin America.
