About Our Client
Global and well recognised Fortune 500 technology business in the heart of Surrey.
Job Description
- Preparation and review of the financial statements for all UK entities and ensuring the timely sign-off to UK statutory bodies.
- Interpretation of IFRS and UK GAAP standards together to determine reporting requirements and changes needed
- Management of monthly financial and management accounts to corporate deadlines, taking a hands-on approach as necessary
- Lead, mentor and supervision of a small but growing team of qualifying and non-qualified accountants.
- Owning the relationship with the Company's UK external auditors.
- Management of EMEA's internal audit and SOX responsibilities.
- Inter-company accounting supervision.
- Financial representation on existing and future ERP systems and other projects.
- Audit existing systems and ensure financially correct solutions to problems as they occur.
- Liaison with outside tax and banking advisors to provide information as appropriate.
- Leatherhead location with occasional overseas and UK travel.
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum of three years' experience in a related environment as a finance controller or equivalent
- Qualified accountant - ACA, CIMA, ACCA
- Experienced in financial and management accounting
- Experience UK statutory reporting requirements
- Knowledge of of UK and US GAAP
- Experience of UK tax (VAT and corporate) and employment regulations to liaise with tax advisors and auditors;
- Must have managerial experience and demonstrates strong leadership skills
