Within the role of Resident Charges Accountant, you will be responsible for all aspects of resident’s charges accounting including assisting in setting budgets and forecast, setting charges for the next financial year, identifying and implementing process improvements and supporting the Resident Charges Analysts to ensure Rent and Service Charges are correctly accounted for.

To be considered for this role in brief you will need:

  • To be a qualified or finalist (2/3 exams remaining) ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA finance professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant service charge experience within a Housing Association or property management
  • Extensive management and financial accounting skills gained in a finance role within a large and/ or complex organisation
  • Experience in undertaking month end routines involving manual processing and preparation routines
  • Experience of successfully operating within a regulated context and ensuring that processes and systems meet the requirements of the regulator
  • Advanced Excel user with knowledge of formulas and pivots with experience handling large volumes of data
