Description
Working for the Financial Controller and Group Finance Manager the Subsidiaries Finance Manager will be be the formal financial management focal point for subsidiaries and affiliate entity branches. They will manage the accounting and finance function for the international fund-raising and operations entities and provide support around the entry to new markets.
This individual will be responsible for the financial management of all subsidiaries and entity branches, including
- Subsidiary accounting and financial management through processes such as; maintaining solvency through grant funding, project expenditure allocations management, Income review and control oversight, Trial balance management, income and expenditure and balance sheet management accounting reporting, and balance sheet accounts review and reconciliation, Planning, budgeting and forecasting (entity basis) to assist in managing and achieving compliance to regulatory ratios
- Subsidiary audits and financial statements reporting such as; production of trial balances, production of audit schedules and field audit questions, oversight of preparation of local financial statements (working with local accountants) and review thereof
- Subsidiaries payroll accounting and control such as; overall financial control review and sign off of subsidiary payrolls, including liaison with local service providers, preparing the employee payments at the appropriate date each month, posting to Subsidiary ledgers from relevant payroll reports provided by the outsourced payroll organisations, performing review and reconciliation of relevant business unit balance sheet control and liability accounts
Profile
The successful individual will be a qualified or soon to be qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience or interest in working in an international charity
They will have significant experience in a senior accounting role ideally in an international and multi-currency environment
Experience of managing external audit and financial statements preparation processes within an international group
Be immediately available and able to commit to a 6 month + engagement
Job Offer
