Payroll Assistant | Coalville | £19k-£22k
The Role: To provide a payroll service, across the business, working closely with internal and external customers to ensure excellence in service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Administration of weekly & monthly Payrolls for 5,000+ employees via designated divisions within the group.
- Ensuring new starter details, salary calculation, pension contributions, tax documents and entitlements are correct
- Processing all leavers on a timely basis and issue P45's
- Ensuring that that any requests from third parties such as HMRC are dealt with promptly
- Preparing and inputting data onto the system in line with company procedures and legislation
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records
- Validate data input
- Investigate and resolve identified discrepancies
- Meet daily/weekly/monthly deadlines
- Deliver a service which meets customer expectations
- Complete third party requests accurately & promptly.
- Administration of AOE's
- Administration of Flexible Benefits
- P11D/PSA Processing
- Payroll System -MHR iTrent
Personal Characteristics:
- Proven payroll experience
- Excellent knowledge of current legislation
- Good IT literacy skills (Excel, word and databases)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Able to work under pressure/own initiative
- Problem solving - identify solutions and implement them
- Sociable Team player
