Financial Controller
Ignata Finance are delighted to be working with a rapidly growing start-up who have a rare opportunity for a Financial Controller to join them. We are looking for a technically strong and ambitious candidate, who is looking to progress within their career in accountancy. This role will also have the flexibility to work from home a couple of days a week. Part-time candidates will also be considered.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing a deep understanding of industry specific costs
- Overseeing the month-end process and reporting to the FD
- Weekly cashflow forecasting
- Regular gross margin reporting and forecasting
- Coordinating the annual statutory audit
- Assisting with the continued growth of the finance function
- Continual process improvement
- Overseeing and improving the treasury function
- Payment approval
Key qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
- Technically strong at statutory reporting (UKGAAP)
- Strong working knowledge and practical experience of Corporation Tax, VAT and PAYE
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in effectively managing a small team
- Highly numerical and comfortable with handling large data sets
Location: Southampton (Part of the week remote working possible)
Salary: 55-60k
