Head of Finance required to join the finance department of a fast-moving business based in the Thames Valley. This role will report to the Managing Director and will have responsibility for all aspects of finance for the company, ensuring that commercial and financial goals are supported and met as well as managing the external stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Managing financial relationships with key suppliers
  • Maintain the business model and provide the business case analysis for the Commercial team
  • Sign off new contracts and provide risk/opportunity assessments as required
  • Design and produce reporting packs to aid business decision making and steer management meetings
  • Report results to company shareholders
  • Manage the budget and forecasting process
  • Ensure integrity of all day to day financial transactions undertaken
  • Ensure accurate reporting to external parties (e. HMRC)
  • Smooth running of credit and collections team and associated processes (e. debtor factoring)
  • Oversee the delivery of month end reporting processes - to be completed by working day 5, including the posting of all sales and gross profit adjustment journals
  • Control all aspects and management of the cash flow, including daily cash updates if required
  • Manage the day to day relationship with the banks who provide facilities
  • Manage all day to day relationship with HMRC
  • Manage relationships with auditors
  • Partake Group Finance planning process (3-year plans, presentations to possible external funders etc.)
  • Maintain and manage the company's risk register and associated mitigation plans
  • Point of contact for GDPR and other compliance matters
  • Manage and develop the Finance team

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified ACA or equivalent with 5 years + PQE
  • People management experience with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication, commercial and leadership skills
  • Advanced Spreadsheet Skills
  • IT literate with good system skills / understanding of ERP systems
  • Intrastat / ECSL / VAT / Tax knowledge
