Group Management Accountant

This is a key position for a Group Management Accountant to work alongside the Group FC with our client, a construction/infrastructure business. You will assist in the delivery of timely and accurate financial information. This position will give exposure to all functions within finance, coupled with coaching from the finance leadership team and they will support you to reach fully qualified status with development opportunities. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Position of month end journals
• Production of the management accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• VAT, CIS and CITB return submissions
• Production of accurate cash flows
• Assist with the annual year-end audit
• Assist with the production of year-end statutory accounts
• Improvement of existing processes and procedures

The Person:

• Strong Excel skills and knowledge of other MS Office programmes
• Strong understanding of debits and credits
• Finalist/Part-Qualified (ACCA/CIMA), with final papers approaching 
• Excellent attention to detail 
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Ability to spot opportunities to improve processes
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within a finance function
