A well established Top 100 Accountancy Practice, are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their office based in the North London.

The Company

Based in London, our client is a well established and highly reputable Top 100 Firm. The business has a wide range of clients across retail, fashion, construction and hospitality. They are large enough to handle complex assignments while also being able to retain their ability to give clients the personal attention they need. The business prides themselves in the breadth and quality of advice given to clients.

The Role

This is an Accounts Senior role within the Business Services team. It will involve preparing accounts, tax and other general accounting responsibilities for a mixed and interesting client base. The varied nature of the role offers excellent all round exposure as well as a clear route for progression for nominated staff to enter onto a development programme through to Assistant Manager level.

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Preparation of financial statements for both incorporated and unincorporated entities including LLP’s with preparation of file to support the accounts prepared
  • Preparation of accounts for UK companies in accordance with UK GAAP and FRS102
  • Preparation of accounts for offshore companies
  • Experience with PAYE/VAT/Income and Corporation Tax
  • Liaising and building relationships with clients and across departments
  • Carrying out ad-hoc assignments

The Candidate

A successful candidate will need a high level of education. Ideally candidates will be Qualified as this role will not offer study support. Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • ACCA/ACA qualified or qualified by experience
  • Previous accounting experience gained within an Accountancy Practice (minimum 3 years) and the ability to undertake both simple and more complex tasks
  • Good communication skills, written and oral
  • Good compliance/ accounts production skills
  • Strong time keeping & organisational skills
  • Experience of working with budgets
  • Ability to meet internal and external deadlines
  • Experience in using different accounting software systems
