Financial Accountant

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting a Financial Accountant to join a prestigious South Leeds based business, who are leaders in their field, and after some change in the Finance function are now looking for a new head to join the team.

The Financial Accountant will perform an integral role in the Finance Team reporting directly in to the Finance Director, responsible for all recording, summarising and reporting of company transactions and business operations. On a day to day your duties will include:
*Daily banking control and report covering multiple sterling and foreign currency bank accounts
*Payment control for purchase ledger and trade payments
*Cash flow forecasting
*Identify and adjust for accruals and prepayments
*Maintain the fixed asset register
*Reconciliation of control accounts
*Reconciliation of intercompany balances
*Preparation and posting of journal adjustments
*Responsible for petty cash, including month end summary and reconciliation
*Month-end reconciliations and ledger close off for all ledgers (sales, purchase, nominal)
*Providing assistance during the annual audit
*Continuous improvement
*VAT returns
*Assist in in preparation of monthly management accounts and AOB needed by the Finance Director

Your profile:
*Qualified Accountant - ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA
*You must have previous experience in a Financial Accountant role
* Experience of Sage 200

Salary - £30-35,000 per annum
