I am partnering with a £20m turnover private equity-backed organisation that requires a Payroll Analyst to join their widening finance function. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all payments are accurate, on time, as well as ensuring that all the accounts are accurate and that there are no inefficiencies and errors within the payroll data.

This role will report into the Financial Controller and include the following responsibilities:

  • Review attendance records and correct inaccuracies
  • Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork for tax deductions, benefits and garnishments
  • Analyse compensation-related data, including wages and bonuses
  • Oversee payroll transactions
  • Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records
  • Process benefit costs and sick leaves
  • Design, document and implement procedures to streamline payroll processes
  • Manage payment calendars for the fiscal year
  • Report to management on payroll issues and changes
  • Answer employees’ questions about salaries and tax
  • Stay up-to-date on payroll and tax laws

The Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst, Payroll Coordinator or similar role
  • Deep knowledge of payroll and tax regulations
  • Hands-on experience with payroll software (like ADP)
  • Very good Excel and spreadsheet skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines
